The Extreme 15107 is a 48-port switch that is based off of the revolutionary ExtremeXOS operating system that has a reputation as a flexible, scalable and resilient modular operating system. The Extreme X250e-48p switch, or the 15107, is compatible with the 802.3af Power over Ethernet standard on all of its ports. It also supports IPv6 and IPv4 routing and allows a network administrator the choice of rolling out an IPv6 change-over at any point in time. The product also gives administrators high density Fast Ethernet ports as well as stacking ports specifically dedicated to high speed 40 Gbps data movement. These ports fully support the latest market standard functions from Layer 2 all the way to Layer 4 on all ports.
